Mind Technique to help you Relax over the Christmas Holidays

Christmas is a time when people’s emotions are heightened, change color and can very easily spiral out of control. Stress levels go through the roof, Anxiety levels rocket, and some people can feel very blue with depression and sadness. Christmas symbolizes something different for everyone – but no matter what it means to you – it will most definitely have an effect on your emotions one way or another.

Do you have “Behind the Scenes Stress” in your life?

Have you ever tried to swim with 3 layers of clothes on?! It would be a very hard thing to do.... but it can be done. Don’t you think it would be so much easier to swim without them on... you would swim better... and faster... you would feel lighter and freer? Am I right?

If you are stressful - it’s kind of the same thing as wearing layers and layers of unnecessary clothes! You have so much on you… yet you keep trying to move forward to get things done. Your mind and body are so full of stress, anxiety and panic that you are being weighed down! Your relationships, your work, your confidence, your general happiness and enjoyment of life are all affected in a negative way.

Be sure of who you are and have your own opinions

We all worry about what other people think of us. Its human nature I suppose. We all want to be acknowledged, loved... appreciated. We want to feel a part of something and to belong. We all have fears and worries about acceptance and its easy to feel vulnerable for having your own opinions about things that may differ from your piers. I guess quite often people just give up on their own thoughts and opinions because its easier to just be what other people want you to be.... to think how they think, so you don't stand out from the crowd. Now I'm not saying everyone does this - and if you are one of the people who do in fact think for themselves no matter what others say about you - then this little article can be a good reminder for you to stay focused and true to yourself.

Its good to be different in your relationship!

They (whoever they are) say that its vitally important to have things in common with your significant other… and I totally agree with them… but I also feel its just as important to be different from your partner as well! A relationship is made up of two people. As individual’s people have their own strengths – one person might be good at planning, the other might be good at paperwork, one might be very excitable and the other may have a calming influence! When people come together and join forces in a relationship – they both bring their individual strengths to the relationship and you become a good strong team, which will... inevitably help you both to do much much more!
